First time home buying can be extremely overwhelming and scary. For us, it was almost enjoyable because we chose the perfect buyer’s agent. We spoke to a few other agents before calling Kari, but none compared. We had met Kari at a seller’s open house years before we were ready to buy. When we were ready, we called her up and she recognized who we were, even two years later! The choice was an easy one.

We knew she was the perfect agent for us when at our first meeting she gave us a very thorough PowerPoint presentation on home buying. The teachers in us loved how organized she was. She was very confident and knowledgeable.

Kari is extremely patient; we must have asked her the same questions a million times, but every time she answered with no hesitation or agitation. Escrow wasn’t intimidating because she walked us through the entire process step by step. The legal terminology can be confusing, but she had an answer for everything and was clear and concise in her explanations. Every time we needed to contact her, she was always extremely prompt in her response. She was readily accessible at all times!

House hunting is time consuming. You’ll be spending a lot of time with your agent, so you want someone you get along with. We loved spending time with Kari, since she is so easy to talk to. The whole process can be quite stressful, but we had a good time with Kari. She is so down to earth that we still keep in contact with her, even months after we bought our house.

It’s important to choose an agent you can trust. One instance that stands out in our house hunting process is how sincere and genuine she is. There was a house that our loan was approved for, however, it was on the higher end. Instead of pushing for this house and trying to make the sale, she insisted that we keep looking. She knew this wasn’t the right house for us. We moved on and ultimately found our dream home- the other house would’ve been a huge mistake. She had our best interest in mind, regardless of making the sale or not.
