“From the beginning she was different than any other agent we’d encountered. It actually felt like her primary objective was to give us information on the home buying process, not to “sell” herself. After our first meeting we felt more informed, and quite confident that she would be able to support us in any way we needed.”
We are so excited to share the feeling of owning our first family home, and as our two children get closer to school age, it feels like the right time to get them into a home where they can put down roots and make friends. This was the first home we have made an offer on and it was the last one too.
We are a young family of four. Omar loves to fly airplanes as a private pilot, he works as the plant manager of a large bakery for The Cheesecake Factory, and his hobby is playing pool. I am a freelance musician specializing in trombone and as vocal artist (alishamarieard.com) but now I am a full-time mom to our small kids, and occasionally play professionally during the weekends at various events and concerts.
As first-time buyers who started our home search without an agent. Every time we went to open houses the listing agents always offered to be our buying agent, but we were never comfortable with any of them. It was like a parade of salespeople trying to lure us in. Finally we decided to call my friend Kari. Though I’ve known her for many years, I’d never known the real estate side of Kari and was curious what she would be like as an agent.
From the beginning she was different than any other agent we’d encountered. It actually felt like her primary objective was to give us information on the home buying process, not to “sell” herself. After our first meeting we felt more informed, and quite confident that she would be able to support us in any way we needed.
We quickly moved from that point to having Kari write an offer for us, and I’m very glad we had her on our team. Otherwise I feel sure the listing agent would have again tried to lure us in and pressure us into writing an offer that wouldn’t have been in our best interest.
Throughout escrow Kari was very accessible and helpful. We encountered several unexpected complications that could have created a lot of stress and anxiety. But she’s very cool under pressure and was able to calmly handle situations that would have easily turned into unnecessary drama with a different agent.
She advises but never pressures. She’s thorough and doesn’t gloss over anything.
She is on the side of her clients no matter what.
Home buying is a complicated transaction, but working with Kari made the process much less stressful. I highly recommend her as someone who will do everything that needs to be done for her clients with no games, no gimmicks, and no pressure.
Sincerely- Happy Customer
